We teach what we practise.
Our engineers have taught functional safety, AUTOSAR, cybersecurity and software-defined vehicles to industry professionals for a decade. The same people do the engineering, so the courses come from real programs and the programs benefit from the teaching.
Courses taught by practising engineers
Our engineers teach in Oakland University's professional courses for working engineers, and taught TÜV NORD's official ISO 26262 certification course for six years. Many of the engineers we meet on programs first met us in a classroom.
Functional safety
The safety lifecycle from item definition and HARA to hardware metrics and software architecture, taught with work products from real programs.
AUTOSAR architecture
Application software design, methodology and workflow, and how AUTOSAR fits with safety and with model-based development.
Cybersecurity
Threat analysis, cybersecurity concepts and the security mechanisms that implement them in vehicle ECUs.
Software-defined vehicles
Central compute, virtualization, service-oriented communication and what they change for architecture and safety.
We run in-house courses tailored to your products, process and toolchain, on site or remote, from a one-day ISO 26262 refresher to a hands-on workshop on your own HARA or architecture.

Sponsored research at Oakland University
Unatech sponsors student research at Oakland University. Students work on open problems from our tools and programs, and the results feed directly into what we build.
- AI assistance for architecture design and requirements review
- AI support for hazard analysis and FMEA
- Model-based traceability from requirement to code
- Interface generation for mixed AUTOSAR, Linux and Android systems
The AI layer in SST was developed with Oakland University's High Performance AI Lab.
Train your team with the people who do the work.
Tell us who needs training and on what, and we'll put together a course around your products and process.
